Today, I’m super excited to talk about one of Epcot’s hidden gems – The Land Pavilion. Nestled in the heart of Future World, The Land is a wonderful blend of entertainment, education, and environmental stewardship. Whether you’re a nature lover, a foodie, or just looking for a cool place to relax, The Land has something special for everyone.
Living with the Land First up is Living with the Land, a serene boat ride that takes you on a fascinating journey through various ecosystems. You’ll float through serene scenes showcasing traditional and innovative farming techniques. The highlight for me is definitely the greenhouse portion, where you see real plants being grown using futuristic methods. Hydroponics and aquaponics, anyone? It’s an eye-opening experience that shows how we can grow food sustainably – and trust me, you’ll be amazed by the gigantic fruits and vegetables!
Soarin’ Around the World If you’re looking for something a bit more thrilling, Soarin’ Around the World is an absolute must-do. This breathtaking flight simulation ride lifts you high above the ground, giving you the sensation of hang gliding over some of the world’s most iconic landscapes. From the Great Wall of China to the African savannas, the stunning visuals, combined with the gentle breezes and scents, make this ride an unforgettable experience. I can’t help but smile every time I get to fly over the Swiss Alps or glide by the Eiffel Tower!
Awesome Planet Next, we have Awesome Planet, a spectacular 10-minute film that showcases the beauty and diversity of our planet. Narrated by Ty Burrell, this show is a visual feast, filled with stunning imagery and powerful messages about conservation and the interconnectedness of life on Earth. It’s both educational and deeply inspiring, making it a great stop for anyone passionate about our environment.
Sunshine Seasons Feeling hungry after all that adventure? Head over to Sunshine Seasons, one of the best quick-service dining locations in all of Walt Disney World. This food court-style restaurant offers a variety of delicious and healthy options, many of which are made with ingredients grown right in The Land pavilion. From fresh salads and grilled salmon to tempting pastries and desserts, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Plus, the open and airy seating area is a great place to relax and recharge.
Garden Grill Restaurant For a more unique dining experience, check out the Garden Grill Restaurant. This rotating restaurant offers character dining with Chip ‘n’ Dale and other Disney pals, and serves a fantastic family-style meal featuring produce grown in The Land’s greenhouses. As you dine, you’ll slowly rotate through different scenes of Living with the Land, making it a dining experience that’s both delicious and delightful.
Behind the Seeds Tour Finally, for those who want to dive even deeper into the world of sustainable agriculture, the Behind the Seeds Tour is an absolute must. This hour-long, guided walking tour takes you behind the scenes of the Living with the Land greenhouses. You’ll get an up-close look at the innovative techniques used to grow crops, and you might even get to release ladybugs or feed fish! It’s an educational and interactive experience that’s perfect for all ages.
